Molly is part Beagle, part Basset Hound, part Terrier, and part Dachshund.  She came as a refugee from a good friend who couldn't keep her and her sister, so I got Molly.  She is very sweet and loving (and needy) and gets along well with the cats.  Her first meeting with Jason was a surprise to both of them.  Molly came bounding around the corner all happy go lucky and scared Jason half to death, who had no idea she was even in the house and had never seen a dog before.  Jason puffed up as cats do when they're scared.  Every hair on his body was sticking up making him look about three times his usual size.  Molly, confronted with a hissing spitting cat twice her size (after the fur) was terrified and wouldn't go anywhere near him for weeks.  Since then they've become close companions and partners in crime.  They have worked out a system where Jason will knock off the Pringles can and Molly will chew it open and they'll share the bounty.  Patches and Bittlebub are a bit less thrilled at her presence but have adapted.  Bittlebub was ok with Molly until Molly, in her exuberance, accidently sat on her while she was taking a nap.  After Bittlebub sunk her claws in Molly's hind quarters they just kind of avoid each other.  Patches just accepts Molly but doesn't let her too close.
